Grimmspeed Short Throw Shifter 2004-2021 STI
Engineered from the ground up for the 2004–2021 STI, this true bolt-in short throw shifter delivers sharper feedback, tighter engagement, and OEM-level fitment with no trimming required. Designed for drivers who want precision without compromise, it maintains full reverse lockout functionality while offering adjustable throw and knob height for a fully customizable shift feel.
This is a complete redesign based on a 3D scan of the STI’s factory assembly. Throw reduction is adjustable from 0% to 26.3%, and knob height from +0.3” to -1.0” relative to stock. Inside, it’s powered by Enduro MAX sealed ball bearings that offer 35–40% greater load capacity than standard bearings and use double-lip labyrinth seals to keep contaminants out for long-lasting precision.
CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, A513-T5 DOM steel, and 1045 steel, this shifter is built for strength and a refined, mechanical feel. Laser-etched reference marks make adjustments simple, and installation is a direct bolt-on—no console trimming, no hassle.

Note: At the most aggressive throw setting, minor rubbing may occur between the shift linkage and the rubber gasket in 1st and 3rd gears. One of the laser-etched marks will show the max-recommended setting before interference occurs. Trimming the gasket is possible but not recommended.
